Man That Grabbed Ariana Grande on the occasion of Red Carpet Event Barred from Singapore

An Australian man who vaulted past a barrier and grabbed celebrity Ariana Grande has been deported and banned from Singapore.

The individual, 26, was sentenced to more than a week in detention for being a public nuisance and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," the country's border control told news outlets.

He forced his way past photographers and charged at the actress and singer, who was participating in the regional launch for the musical adaptation on the thirteenth of November. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.

Wen has a history of causing disturbances at events and celebrity events, including rushing the stage at the pop star's Australian show in this summer.

The occurrence caused anger in Singapore, with many accusing him of triggering past trauma for the singer.

The singer has discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at her show in the UK city in several years ago killed over twenty people and affected hundreds.

During Wen's trial, the authorities learned he had attempted to intrude on the movie's debut on two occasions, according to Singaporean media.

He then made a follow-up try to cross the barriers. Event security prevented him and held him in place.

The man subsequently shared videos appreciating the celebrity for permitting his access and said he was "free."

Police arrested him the following day and brought charges against him with public nuisance, to which he confessed.

The Court Judge the judicial official was referenced by Channel News Asia as saying that the man sought attention, noting that he was mistaken to think he would not suffer any consequences.

The singer has not commented on the incident.

The co-star mentioned the event to the press, remarking that she "simply desired to verify my colleague was safe."

"I think he had no intention to us injury, but you cannot be certain with these incidents, and I wanted to make sure that she was fine. That was my first instinct," she said.
