Joseph Parker stepped onto the scales nearly twenty pounds more compared to the British boxer as each heavyweights displayed self-assured figures - although in different styles - for the Saturday main event in London.

From New Zealand Joseph Parker will put his WBO interim championship and opportunity to compete for the undisputed crown on the line versus the undefeated Wardley at the O2 Arena.

Unified heavyweight champion Usyk has made clear his intention to protect his world titles against the victor.

"This is it. It represents all," said a serious but concentrated Fabio Wardley, thirty, at the Friday weigh-in.

The Ipswich fighter - possessing the WBA 'interim' belt - registered at seventeen stone five pounds, matching his latest fights.

"This contest prior to the ultimate challenge. Every effort is done. Preparation is wrapped up. All the hard work is done. Time for some downtime now. Huge occasion coming up," he added.

Spitalfields Market in east London saw not just fresh produce on the scales as the both fighters squared up for the last occasion prior to the main event.

Parker flashed a wink at the lenses and swayed along to the beat.

As he flexed his muscles, he appeared powerful and forceful as he registered at eighteen stone ten pounds, only 5lb lighter than his peak weight.

This represents a far cry from the 16st 12lb version who lost his world title to Joshua in 2018.

"We are cautious, we are careful, but I will to match him blow for blow and I'm going to get him," Joseph Parker said.

I'm at a different level and will dominate him - Parker

Wardley, sporting an football shirt, held a serious expression, acknowledged the crowd, but looked focused.

He may be the less heavy fighter, Fabio Wardley has outstanding stopping ability. He delivered a dramatic turnaround against Justis Huni in June, trailing on the judges' cards before defeating his foe in the final round despite being outmaneuvered for the majority of the contest.

"Joseph Parker, his team and the sport's followers are about to discover I am meant to be at the peak of this division," Fabio Wardley stated.

"Each rival has been the fighter experts predict will overcome me. This is the one. His attributes include too quick, rapid, vastly experienced. Yet I remain unbeaten to date, and nothing will alter in the ring."
