In a surprising crossover event that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Uncovered

According to the official statement, "An unusual meeting draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous transformations reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.

The mission concentrates on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer ends with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an exclusive katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

This release also adds the game's latest free story content, titled "The Mystery."
